ULD Types

Overview

A Unit Load Device (ULD) is a pallet or container used to load luggage, freight, and mail on wide-body aircraft and specific narrow-body aircraft.

In that section, you can create ULD types that correspond to a certain volume, height, weight. It allows you to assign a type based on the size when creating a pallet.

Also, you can edit an existing and add new items.

The main functionality on the page

1. Search - allows you to find items by name, value, weight, dimensions
2. Editor- the set of buttons and fields, which helps you to add new items, edit and delete existing entries
3. The list of existing items contains the following columns:

• • Name - a type of pallet (abbreviation)
  • Volume - a volume of the pallet or container
  • Tare weight - the weight of the pallet or container
  • Max Gross weight – product weight with packaging
  • External dimensions

Manuals

• To create a new ULD type, please press on the + NEW button in the Editor, and fill in the data

Name is an obligatory field, other fields are optional

• After filling the required fields, please, click the Save button and the new ULD type will appear in the list

  

• To edit the ULD type, please select any from the list, make changes, and click the Save button. The data will be updated

• To delete the ULD type, please, select any from the list. The editor will be updated  according to the selection, and the Delete button will appear, click it

The ULD types are used to create and edit the pallets on the ULD Control page
